Copart - Mobile

Clean, well run, safe, and a lil out of the way. Altho copart is a misleading name... u cant get car/automobile parts here. They do hold auctions however, not sure if you need dealers license (but probably) I had to get my stuff out of my car after it was totalled. It had been at a tow shop but when I was able to get a ride, it had been moved to coparts. The car had been looked at by other guy's insurance company... so many people had been around it. I was upset that they cleaned it out, apparently this is a common practice for them, as the insurance adjusters need it cleaned out to an extent (see pics) but I didn't expect to find all my nooks and crannies would be striped of everything. They threw(or someone, not accusing anyone) ALL away, make up, glasses, paystubs, random things...I'm not a pig. But there was definitely random things on my floor. I.E a shakeweight (insert innuendo here) my mom insisted I have a weapon. Lol, seriously...I digress Many things were missing including Rayban's prescription sunglasses An old Garmin..older model of course but was 600$ in 14 but u know Shakeweight as previously discussed Make up...ya'll know that these are not cheap.. My quilt made by deceased granny was wet and smelled like mildew. Really upsetting And more I can't even remember... This way and i am in way ACCUSING THIS ESTABLISHMENT just to be honest and not slanderous. The people here were delightful and easy going. They also were more than cooperative in helping with possible theift claim for insurance, which I never followed up on...duh. Visit coparts for auctions I think that's all they do. But they must sell some parts... right the name n all... I'm not much help I did really get a good jist of their operation.

My totaled car is here and I have been trying to get someone on the phone for about 2 months, but I’ve had no luck. No one answers the phone and you have to wait on hold for 15-20 minutes just to be offered the option to leave a voicemail. If you leave a voicemail, no one calls you back. I hope I’m not being charged a daily fee for my car being there...if it’s still there...I don’t want the car back, but it would be nice to know what happened to it since it is...ya know....mine...or at least I think it’s still mine...I’ll probably never know...

This is by far the most missed managed and difficult auction I have ever dealt with. They make paying for vehicles extremely difficult so that they can charge fees for storage. The staff in the office has no customer service training whatsoever. In my situation, I called and talked to the manager and he assured me he would fix my situation. I never heard back from him and the situation was not resolved. I had purchased a vehicle and wired funds to the auction to pay for it. They could not find where the wire went through for a week and a half on their end and then charged storage fees for the week and a half even though it was their mistake. When you call the local number for the Copart lot, you get locations in other places and then they transfer you to the lot you were trying to call. Then you sit on hold for 20 minutes and get hung up on because no one ever answers. I have had one bad experience after another so far in dealing with this company.

If you are ever that unfortunate that your car is a total loss and is towed to Copart in Mobile before you get the chance to get your personal belongings out - you rather get there quick. They stole everything besides the license plate. Customer Service just pushed me out for weeks telling me that they will send everything by mail... of course they never did. Total loss for me about $300 plus paperwork with personal information on it is gone too.

they sell you the cars run and drive which mean it should runs and drives without any issues. but when it get to your shop it even it does not run.i bought several cars from copart which they sold it as run and drives and they did not run.and when i called copart they told me we can re run it for you and when they re runed only brought half of what i paid for the car. please do not get excited and pay too much for those junks unless you go check the cars you getting before the sale other wise they will going to get you and for them is win win game.they get a huge auction fee when you buy and another crazy auction fee when you sell.so if you are not checking what you bidding on shop at your own risk!!!
